Ladies Nights by Rebecca Piper
Since the dawn of time women have been admired and valued for their physical attributes rather than for intellectual prowess, or great power.
Thankfully times have changed and women now enjoy the same privileges as their male counterparts. They are financially independent, many hold positions of authority and wield immense power. Many choose whether to marry or not, and having children is now a lifestyle choice rather than an obligation.
In no area has the position of women remained unchanged, not least of all sexual behaviour and relationships. Even fifty years ago, it would have been unthought of for a woman to approach a man. Our grandmothers could only enjoy their sexuality within the confines of marriage; anything else would have been shameful. Man was seen as the dominant party, and women had to rely on their beauty to marry well and have a secure future.
Mercifully nowadays women are embracing a role reversal in terms of sexuality. It is quite acceptable for a woman to ask out a man, women are becoming much more assertive in terms of stating what they want; female satisfaction is obligatory for happiness.
In the same way, women now regard men as sex objects rather in the same way as men have always regarded women. However women’s desire often combines emotion with sex; male stripping therefore is the perfect way to safely enjoy this sexual fantasy. There is no actual intimacy; the stripper performs for groups of women, who are able to explore their own feelings of excitement without any danger.
Enjoying male stripping is pure escapism and excellent entertainment. It allows the audience to escape from their everyday life, enjoy a spectacle and be a little bit risque for just a moment. Who can argue with that?
Male stripping is a combination of theatre, dance and sexuality – but how do normal women feel about it? Many women might feel embarrassed if they became the focus of attention of a male stripper in a show. They might enjoy cheering along with the crowd but like to remain out of the limelight. Most male strippers are sensitive to the signs of discomfort, and would not purposefully embarrass a member of the audience.
Nicole, 38, became curious about the world of male stripping when she saw a performer at an Adult Entertainment Exhibition.
“He was just an excellent dancer which made the spectacle very entertaining. It was a great show and he was pretty easy on the eye.”
Mary, 40, felt the need for a closer look when she saw a male stripper at an event last year.
“I think I was just curious,” she says,” After all it’s something I have never explored before. I just wanted to experience it once.”
With shows like the Chippendales performing sell-out tours, male stripping has become a popular all-girls-night-out. If a stripper at a birthday party might embarrass the birthday girl, many strippers also are happy to provide such services as “servant for the evening” or even loan his body to lay out the buffet on. Bon appetit!
